All about -splaining, persons of colour and your experences
If there is a bandwagon to jump on with faux moral outrage people will take it. This counter arguments video sums up the -splaining phenomenon nicely.
The joke here is there is no reason to assume that that an Asian American man is any more likely to be able to relate to a black prostitute than anyone else. Asian Americans are among the most successful and educated American, they are also the highest earning demographic on average.
Other than being in the same 50% of the population how is some random woman supposed to relate to being a black female prostitute, unless her experiences mirror a black prostitute?

All Damon was guilty of was stating the point of the competition, which is about finding the right person based on merit.
Coloured is an offensive term due to history but Person of Colour has become the the de facto term to express a non-white person.
Coloured in South Africa was a different classification then Black during Apartheid and they had different rights. In the US the terms were used interchangeably.
Some use Person of Colour as a term of solidarity. Nothing wrong with solidarity in principle however this is not to say these people all share common experiences or would be able to relate. I think those that use it in this way sometimes assume too much.
What is solidarity if it attempts to pigeon hole people?
I like bosssplaining. It's a good excuse to have an English word with a triple s, like German Nussschale.
