The style of this attack doesn't sound like ISIS at all; ISIS fighters often keep attacking till they get themselves killed (due to their "martyrdom" ideology)

But this atrocity attack was a hit and run mission, and very professionally done, could it by some country's intelligence? Turkey has a lot of enemies.

That's terrible.

My condolences to those who lost loved ones in this.

Lots of rumours flying around (some more substantiated than others) about the Obama administration burning bridges and laying minefields in its dying hours. I wouldn't stake my reputation on all of them being true though, but if anyone is screwing with TR after cosying up to Russia, it's them. However this could be just be a case of sudden jihadi syndrome once again, I certainly get that vibe from the choice of target, a night club.

Lebanese and Saudi survivors were saying there were more than one gunman, and weren't speaking Arabic, probably Turkish.

Fits with my diagnosis of SJS so far.

I suspect it to be a case SJS; they had an exist plan and succeeded. They're certainly more trained than some angry one having SJS.

I'm always skeptical when the media talk about "trained" Jihadis. I don't believe it takes a great deal of training, if any at all, to be able to kill a bunch of unarmed civilians with automatic weapons, nor to make an escape during the complete chaos that follows. But you never know... maybe this was an ISIS supersoldier.
