I just read in the news that the self-proclaimed fascist Vox-party supports abolishing democracy and make Spain a Fascist dictatorship like it was during Franco's regime.

Why do so many people in Spain want to return to fascist dictatorship?

Well, considering Vox only won 24 seats in yesterday's general election, that suggests to me that the people of Spain don't wish to return to the days of Franco style dictatorship!

Those who did vote fascist might be yearning for an idyllic past that in truth never was.

Vox got much less than predicted. Socialists were the biggest party and may end up forming a govt with the help of the 'hard left' Podemos

Last nights headlines were a bit bizarre.

First headline: Socialists win in spain.

few minutes later, notification for another article: "far-right gains power in spain".

What.
