(Does this topic go here? Oh well.)
If you could meet any one person in history and ask that one person one question; who would you pick and what would you ask?
Also, which historical person do you think you are? If you can think of one.

I would love to meet anyone from the Renaissance, especially Caterina Sforza, the Borgia family, various artists, and Niccolo Machiavelli. Since I have to choose one person though, Cesare Borgia and In your weakened state after you were sick and your father died, why did you take Della Rovere's money and support him instead of finding new families to ally with and continue in your original quest to pretty much become the supreme ruler of Italy? and if anyone does have any information on this, I would love to have it!

I think I would be Stanley Kubrick, mostly because I love his movies.

I would like to speak to Morgan Robertson. He was the guy who supposedly wrote about the Titanic disaster before it happened. Assuming that the coincidences can't be explained away by later revisions or something, I would like to find out exactly what happened there.

Jack Ruby would probably have some very interesting things to say.

Leon Trotsky, perhaps the most underrated and unfairly vilified political author of the 20th century.

Jesus Christ, whilst accompanied with a qualified psychologist/shrink to determine if he was a schizophrenic (hearing voices, son of god etc). It would also be useful to have James Randi present to evaluate any so called miracles.

Stannis, you previously stated that you would like to read Trotsky and asked where should you start. "Revolution Betrayed" is vital to understand not only him, but what went wrong with the Russian Revolution. After this I would look to this SITE for some of his essays and letters.

That would be very interesting. He's pretty high up on my 'Wish I Could Meet' list. I wonder if he would really be as kind and thoughtful as they say he was.

I think Tsar Peter I, when he was young, would have been an interesting character to meet.

Same with Henry VIII--when he was young.

Life dealt both of them blows, which rendered them rather crusty in older age.

Two people: Jesus Christ, and Admiral of the Fleet Lord John J. "Jackie" Fisher of Kilverstone.

Jane Austen and would ask how she thought of her ideas for her books. Were her books about her family and friends? Did she dislike the way women had to rely on getting married to the right person for a decent life?

I'd meet up with young Hitler and young Stalin. I'd advice young Hitler to improve his artistic skills so he would be accepted in art class. I would advice young Stalin to please stay in the seminary so he'd become an Orthodox priest. I very much doubt a priest and a successful artist would soon wage war, thus saving millions of people.

Either H.P. Lovecraft, or Robert E. Howard. Both were probable Aspies who had greatly influenced American literature in the fields of horror and heroic fantasy.

Makes me smile when I see that name; it is pronounced almost the same as the French word putain, which means whore.
