A question came up at a recent AD&D session regarding Jedi Knights during the Pre-Palpatine Republic. "Which is better, to be a Jedi, or to act like a Jedi?" This is not a question of Light Side vs. Dark Side, just one of "Greatest Benefit".

The discussion kept threatening to bring the game to a halt, so I'm posting this poll on a social website dedicated to ASDs and the people who have them to find out what normal people think.

You can choose only one option, and you can only vote once, so please choose carefully, and please keep your comments nice!

Thank you.

None of the above: I'm one of those who watches the films and thinks the Empire is a pretty sweet deal.

If I am a jedi, can I choose to be on the dark side?

No. By definition, a force-wielder on the dark side cannot be a Jedi, but only a Sith.

:P

Probably being.

If a convincing fake gets hit and folds it makes the whole thing look like paper mache.

I'm starting to wonder about a close tangent issue:

I remember there was a meme going around five or six years ago about 'single mom' discovering trade secrets and everyone from nutritionists and doctors to even alchemists hating her. Wherever I brought it up debate was a stalemate so I never did figure it out; which is better - to be like single mom or to be a single mom?

It seems to me that acting like a Jedi whilst not having the abilities of a Jedi might land one in trouble at best and quite dead at worst.

Imagine the "These aren't the droids you're looking for" scene, but without the Jedi powers.

Wrong, not all dark siders are Sith. We take only the best prospects.

Another Interesting Poll and Question, on whether it is better to be
a Jedi or Act like a Jedi. For me at Least, I Choose none of the Above;
As For me at Least Any Life that Requires a Label or Paint By Numbers
Reduces my Personal Human Potential. True though, still, some folks have
Great Difficulty Doing Life Free Hand/Feat, at all; so, I understand the other two choices
may indeed be Valuable for and to others; Also, it's Worth Noting that 'Yoda' isn't 'really' a Jedi.
(little understood Art, these days, still)
