This is half for fun. If you were involved either with a political party or individual candidate's campaign, and they agree on you without further questions, what political items would you include in a draft of a platform?

Rehabilitation based prison reforms

Universal healthcare

Lowering sanctions in Iran and pursuing better relations with Iran while getting tough on Saudi Arabia's use of our weapons, though not withdrawing our support for them. (I.e, they can use our weapons as long as they do it responsibly and not on children.)

Ban on assault weapons

Instate better caring facilities for young mothers and promote sex education to reduce the rate of abortions

Ban death penalty

Standing up to Israel if need be

Work with other nations on climate deals

Uphold a church's right to define marriage the way it wants to, but also ban states from outlawing civil gay marriage

Protect LGBT rights in healthcare and the workplace

I'm a fairly liberal person. But at my college, I'm considered more conservative than a lot of them.
