Quote:
Generation Z – The Last Generation

I’ve read a lot about Generation X in the papers in the recent past which is apparently a term used to describe the generation of young people who came after the baby-boomer generation. Well I wish to ‘blow the trumpet’ announcing Generation Z, the last generation before our civilization slips into total anarchy. This is the generation of children coming onto the scene who kill other children without any remorse whatsoever. They think its cool to listen to Satanic rock music that glorifies violence and death. They enjoy playing video games where you assassinate your opponent in a bloody martial arts battle. They might even try to kill you if you try to take their music from them or their video games from them. They have no concern for the consequences of their actions. They have no direction in their lives. They are cold and distant and appear to have no concept of love and do not understand why they should have any consideration or respect for others. Here is the formula for Generation Z:

– First, remove the most revered book of all history (the Bible) from public schools, a book that provides the most tried and true set of healthy moral standards known to the human race.

– Second, remove prayer from public schools and act as if it was something evil, to be avoided like the plague.

– Once Biblical standards and influences are removed from schools, redefine what is right and what is wrong through a program of situational ethics, disregarding any concern for the long term consequences of our actions and the affects on those around us.

– Then teach children the value of using condoms and clean IV needles rather than taking them on field trips to cemeteries, prisons, skid row, VD clinics and AIDS hospices to show them the truth about unhealthy lifestyles.

– Pass laws allowing the destruction of children in their mother’s wombs then question why children today don’t seem to have any kind of moral compass to guide them.

– Hold debates about death and dying while people are assisting with the death of the elderly when they could instead be assisting with the love, caring and pain control.

– Spend more money on police when you already have enacted laws that tie the hands of police so that they cannot arrest anyone and cannot use evidence against them.

– Ban guns, which are the most reliable option of defense that citizens have nowadays, when you already know that criminals are capable of killing someone with a ball point pen or a kitchen knife if they really wanted to (more people are murdered and assaulted with knives than with guns).

– Redefine marriage so that even the most perverted in our society can adopt children.

– Demand freedom of expression and ban any kind of censorship to the point where children in your own home are exposed to violence and pornography every day, all day long.

– Vote for leaders who are as blind spiritually and as interested in acquiring money to solve problems as you are.

– Sit down and watch TV in all your spare moments instead of spending time doing something of value to become a positive role model for your family and your community.

– Tell yourself that you and your spouse need to work more to get that newer house, car or appliance instead of sacrificing those material things for quality time with each other and your children. Then tell yourself that you are doing it for the children who spend more time with strangers than with you.

– Talk to your spouse like he or she was your worst enemy, then wonder why your children don’t respect you or each other.

– Spend your Sundays worshipping at the shrine of materialism (stores and malls) then wonder why your children are always asking you for money and material things.

– Believe everything that the secular media feeds you instead of being involved enough in the world around you to know that they usually severely distort the truth.

– Create Gods (and millionaires) out of dysfunctional self-centered people, like most rock stars, movie stars and sports figures who can’t even run their own lives.

– Avoid the God of the Bible at all costs. Spend time thinking and talking about anything else, but avoid any talk about eternity and the meaning of life. Read any book but the Bible.

“There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.” [Proverbs 30:11-14]

On the other side of the coin, we have more natural disasters than ever. WWIII could happen at any time. Sea levels are rising faster than ever. There is also inflation bordering on depression in many parts of the world. Prices are also skyrocketing.

That would be my take. I wonder if they will name the next generation the "AA" generation?

We have an extinction event on the near horizon. No, it has very little to do with carbon dioxide. But that event is probably a few hundred years off. But NTs are so blind, it will hit them like a lead brick and it will throw the world into utter chaos.

I was afraid that the world was going to end in the next 30 years. I'm not so afraid now.

Anything specific in mind or just a general belief something bad will happen?

We are in the middle of the Great Pleistocene Ice Age. We have not reached the end of this Ice Age, probably another 5 million years to come out of it. Within a Great Ice Age, there are cold spells called glacial period that last around 100,000 years and warm spells called interglacial periods that last for around 10,000 years. The interglacial period that we are in is around 13,000 years old and will be coming to an end soon. The transition to the glacial period will occur somewhat abruptly from observing past interglacials.

Except for the technological stuff similar stuff was written about the baby boomers and Gen X when they were young

Satanic music? - Black Sabbath, AC/DC and Marlyn Manson all got that tag.

Abortion has been legal since 1973, condoms were available in the corner store in the 70s.

The malling of America was underway and workaholic parents were a thing long before now

The anti Vietnam war protests and the sexual revolution were blamed on materialistic permissive parents.

Slackers was another name for Gen X

Crime was blamed on violence of TV and in the movies.

An oh yeah it was widely thought there would be a nuclear war so baby boomers would literally be the last generation.

seriously? the website is seriously called "coming in the clouds"?

also: perverts shouldn't be allowed to marry and adopt children. that's why the church introduced celibacy.

Actually man-made global warming is a myth. If you look back over the transitions between glacial period and interglacial periods, one will see that temperatures rise initially and then in a thousand year later or so carbon dioxide levels rise. So carbon dioxide doesn't create warming but it is the other way around. Warming produces the release of carbon dioxide into the air. So how does that work? Well it is a natural reaction. Most of the carbon dioxide on Earth are trapped in the oceans. When the earth warms the oceans release the carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere. This is the laws of solubility. Think of a can of soda. Think of the liquid in the can as the ocean. The liquid in a can of soda contains a high level of CO2. When the soda is cold and you pull it from the fridge and pop the top and drink it you will feel the bubbles gently tickling your throat. Now if you heat up the can. Put it out on a hot summers day and let the can get warm and then pop the top, the CO2 will quickly bubble out of the liquid and the soda will go flat. You taste it and something is missing. That is the CO2.

I understand massive volcanism happening during the greatest warming episodes (permian extinction, triassic-jurassic boundary, paleocene-eocene thermal maximum) releasing gigatons of CO2 into the atmosphere were also results of global warming of these times?

That's just plain incorrect.
The oceans actually take up more CO2 with increasing temperature. Not enough to counter the effects of CO2 in the atmosphere, and at a slow pace.
The CO2 changes the pH of the seawater, making it more acidic. Ocean acidification is occasionally referred to as "global warming's evil twin", as the whole ecosystem is dependent on tiny animals that build calcium shells, which get dissolved by the slightly more acidic, warmer seawater.

Please stop comparing complex ecosystems with a can of soda.

Really. Then I guess most science and engineering books are wrong. Here is one example. Look at the solubility graph for carbon dioxide in water. Notice how the solubility at 0 deg C is a little less than 3.5 whereas at 60 deg C it is almost 0.5. Solubility decreases as temperature increases.

Solubility of Gases in Water

The soda can is a good analogy. The analogy that is bad is the greenhouse effect. That is because our atmosphere is an open system whereas the greenhouse is a closed system. As you remove the panes of glass, a greenhouse will become an open system, and the heat contained within will simply leave and strive towards an equilibrium.

A quick calculation, correct me if I'm wrong:

There is estimated 39,000 GtC in the ocean, in form of CO2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocean_sto ... on_dioxide
GtC is gigatonne of carbon. There is 12g of carbon in every 44g of CO2, so to get the CO2 weigth, we need to multiply the number above by 44/12.
There is 39,000 Gt*44/12 = 143,000 gigatonnes = 143,000,000,000,000 tonnes of CO2 in oceans.

The whole hydrosphere is 1,386 million cubic kilometres https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrosphere
So, asking google 143,000,000,000,000 tonnes / 1,386 million cubic kilometres gave me the answer
0.103174603 kg / m^3 = 0.103174603 g / liter

Golbal mean temperature of Earth surface is about 15 celsius https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth
At this temperature the solubility of CO2 is over 2g/l

It means, the CO2 dissolved in the oceans is about 1/20 of the limit.

When talking of global warming, we consider changes of the order of magnitude 3 celsius.
That changes the solubility by roughly 0,25 g/l
Instead of 1/20 of the maximum capacity you will get 1/18.5 of it.

Nope, the change in CO2 solubility in water with temperature is not the mechanism behind it all - the solution of CO2 in oceans is far from saturated, quite unlike a soda can.

(recheck the calculations, my kids are jumping around me, it's hard to focus)

PS - it's a very rough estimation, not taking into account that below the surface the oceans are colder and at higher pressure, both increasing gas solubilities. It also does not take into account quite a complex ocean biosphere.

First of all, sometimes people say we are in the last days and the earth will end soon. Now if one says we are nearing the return of Christ then I would agree, and never before in history have so many events lined up to the Biblical prophecies... However, to say it is the end of the world... Well, they need to re-read their Bibles as they do not know the scriptures. There is the 1000 year reign of Christ on this earth where satan is locked up before the end of the worlld comes. And then there is the final battle where satan and the fallen angels are let lose before they are finally defeated and cast into the lake of fire for ever... The Earth and the Havens will depart as a scroll and then there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth.

Regarding sea waters rising. Around the area where I live the complete opposite has been happening. Our estuary is silting up. the sea is receeding gradually year by year. Though it has done this naturally and then every 400 years or so we get a large tsunami and the coasts are gouged out and the process starts again. The last tsunami like this was in 1607. The inner dunes we have here were the result of the material eemains which were deposited after that 1607 tsunami receeded after it came in. No coastal areas were used to build on in my area until the industrial revolution came along and it was thought of as a temporary measure, as before those days the mountainous areas were occupied (Even by the invading Celts) rather then the coastal regions of Wales. I live next to an old early Christian "Llan" or village (Llan also means church as they often became churches) that dates somewhere between the 4th and 6th centuaries. In Wales many of these fortified settlements have been mistaken as hillforts, and the way to tell is to examine the surrounding area as Llans had two extra features. They usually had a small cell like building where the saint who established the Llan would go to pray, and from at least half a mile away and up to two miles away one would find the burial mound where they buried their dead, as the early Christians would never bury their dead where they lived. (As demonic spirits would be looking for a new vessel to occupy... Don't worry though. Easy to cast them out). A graveyard around a church was a later invention and in such graveyards were planted yew trees as the wood was made to make longbows. The reason why yew trees were inside graveyards is yew is poisionus, so a walled graveyard pevents cattle from eating it.
