One of those weird things you find while clicking around on Wikipedia...

The first paragraph says: A toilet god is a deity associated with latrines and toilets. Belief in toilet gods—a type of household deity—has been known from both modern and ancient cultures, ranging from Japan to ancient Rome. Such deities have been associated with health, well-being and fertility (because of the association between human waste and agriculture) and have been propitiated in a wide variety of ways, including making offerings, invoking and appeasing them through prayers, meditating and carrying out ritual actions such as clearing one's throat before entering or even biting the latrine to transfer spiritual forces back to the god.

Thought this might be amusing. Discuss.

In some circles we use "to pray to a porcelain idol" as an euphemism for "to vomit"...

'Buda' is an unfortunate slang for 'toilet' in my mother tongue. Sounds exactly like Buddha; funny pose for a toilet god.

Throne, loo, house of office, Oval Office, working on a ring, sitting and grinning, whatever you call it, jokes about the commode are just funny

So essentially Trump is a toilet god,


I mean that does make a lot of sense.

I have a very intimate relationship with my toilet, but the thought of worship had yet to cross my mind.

Perhaps some people only peruse religious books and pamphlets when they are sitting on the toilet and no other reading material presents itself.

Pages of said pamphlets could also be used as toilet paper. Waste not; want not - words to live by.

If spiritual thoughts only occur on such rare occasions (more frequently for some than for others), perhaps “Toilet God” would be an appropriate title.
