Like more than usual? He's always been erratic, irreverent, and tweeting out insults to anything and anyone that doesn't 100% support him. Lately though, it feels like he's kicked it upto 11 though.

Very scary. Recent tweets sound like he is headed for a psychotic break.

He needs to get more sleep. Notice the time of many of his tweets----the wee hours.

I'm wondering if Trump sees trouble ahead like a Recession and has ramped up his antics as a distraction.

I have been hearing how this time he has really gone too far for over 4 years now.

Have you noticed a pattern of how long approximately between his last tweet of the evening and first in the morning?

I'm glad you clarified, because the obvious retort is that he went off them at least ten years ago

But yes, the last month or so has (somehow) seen a clear step up in his erratic behaviour:

- Racist comments about congresswomen.
- Attempting to buy an autonomous territory from another country.
- Anti-Semitic comments about American Jews.
- Blaming video games for mass shootings.
- Accusing the Chairman of the Federal Reserve of being an enemy of America.
- Stepping up the trade war; giving "orders" to businesses to relocate manufacturing to the US.
- Calling himself "the chosen one".

You could maybe add the Iran strike as another example - I don't buy his story that he called it off when he found out that people would die, he must surely have known but changed his mind. Considering the tension in the Gulf it is pleasantly surprising that he hasn't tried to escalate things there, at least to my knowledge.

While none of these things are imo as bad as his sabre-rattling at North Korea a few years ago, I think they show a change in his pattern of behaviour. You might compare the "go home" and "disloyalty" comments to the "grab 'em by the p****" comment. That one was an embarrassment for Trump, probably the only time we have seen him humbled or willing to admit he was wrong. But the two more recent comments were every bit as bigoted and disgusting, but rather than embarrassments, they're situations Trump deliberately created for himself and then doubled down on when challenged.

I think it is safe to say that there has been a change.

If true that Trump has a "narcissistic personality", then an impending recession may affect him more.

The “Chosen One” thing was a misguided attempt at a joke.

Trump always has had a bad case of “foot in mouth” disease.

The Greenland thing makes him look like a total horse’s ass.

As many have pointed out he's never really been on the rails to begin with. However, like many people there are things he's savvy about and other things he's completely ignorant about. Unfortunately regardless of the subject he has a big mouth and an even bigger ego.

I believe the "Chosen One" relates to a recent release on Netflix of a series called "The Family".
"The Family" is a series about a secret organisation that apparently exists which influences various leaders of the world to do "Gods work" as they see it, and in a similar vein to how the Brits used to think that the King or Queen is put in place by God and represents God (at the head of the Church of England, in the same way that the Pope is the head of the Catholic Church), that Mr Trump was put in place as the president of USA by God, also, to do Gods work and to represent God in his position.

I am not entirely sure if the series is authentic, although apparently some of the people involved appear to have history.

As for the Greenland thing, that is something that i would perhaps be extremely cautious about if analysing from a military strategists perspective, as although the US use this area for military bases, i believe that Greenland, if owned by the US would then give them free reign of what they put there.

Perhaps a particularly good place to build a stronghold, which could be used to launch nuclear weapons.
Something that their neighbours in Russia, and perhaps further a field, Europe, China, Saudi
May be concerned about.

Although that may also be just an inside joke.

When it comes to the complex political game that he is included in, there may be all sorts of things going on that we are oblivious to. Or it could be Mr. Trump just being a bit strange, or like some say, using the joke as subterfuge, to throw people off the scent of something else that has happened.

One thing that i found extremely interesting and worrying is how Mr. Trumps campaign strategist was actually
an obsessive military strategist, who had no experience in war or the armed forces, but had an obsessive interest in war, world war 2 and white nationalism.

I would say that in itself, along with such interest in buying various territories around the globe would be extremely concerning, in our turbulent world.

Think, Greenland, an underpopulated large mass of land that could be used to great strategic advantage.
Think these guys are starting to play command and conquer with the world... Hopefully not unless they plan to eradicate poverty without a mass extermination.
