HP lovecraft's philosophy, of Cosmicism, is most consistent with the Theory of Evolution as espoused by Charles Darwin. And, that is precisely why I find it most interesting to ponder!

You mean insignificance of humanity in the Universe? Indeed, not colliding with anything scientific. A bit nihillistic, though.
Well, I guess humanity is still significant for itself.
