Undemocratic (fptp) and voted in by people who probably died

It's surely the biggest joke ever to call a country with fptp 'democratic'... when a majority can be formed by a minority of people voting for it simply because the rest were split (and that's not to mention the lies)... but the uk now is in this 'special' situation where, not only did people seemingly vote for their deaths... they died now, soon after the election, due to their own votes (I'm guessing it's a brexit over life thing? I suppose they can enjoy brexit in their graves...?) - so, effectively, the uk now has a government voted by a minority some of whom died... so... uh, a necrocracy?

Honestly though, I don't know how it led up to this as, historically, they even murdered a monarch, but now not only is the monarchy still there, they're apparently fine with unelected advisors too and incompetent leaders to the extent they not only let tens of thousands die but nearly killed themselves too... like, how much incompetent can one get?

This world is so screwed. But hey, maybe society is 0.0000000001% less broken than usa's? Maybe...

I studied in the UK. A lot of the British people in my course were working class, at a rather prestigious institution. That was before it cost 10.000 pound a year, obviously.
The fact that actually the majority of students from UK and Europe were working class and had some sort of bursary and paid a 3000 pound per year made it less screwed than the US. But that was ten years ago, and to be hinest, the fault lines were quite visible back then, too.
I left Britain after a few years because I couldn't figure out how to make it all work financially (and london was doing my head in).
When Brexit happened my experience weirdly started to make sense, in hindsight: this all wasn't working for a lot of British people either, I had just been surrounded by students and creative people who were all living precariously and thought that was okay while you're young and an artist.
Of course, you'd think the whole situation would lead to a left turn (and I do have friends who voted for brexit to get out of the neoliberal undemocratic technocracy of the EU, and they had good reasons).

But don't forget: national socialism is the socialism of the poor. - why try to chabge a global economic order, when you can blane brown people, and nurses and teachers instead.
It has happened before...

Alternatively:

Why not assist your own citizens, ensuring they have jobs/housing/etc. before trying to help others?

A government's primary duty is to its own citizens, not to those in the country who are not citizens, or to citizens of other countries.

Since Great Britain is more of a business offering a shelter from taxes, it's hard to think of the British government as even having the power to do that. If they tried, they'd have to ruin their business model, and the city if London won't let that happen.
But the anger and frustration of the working class has to go somewhere, so the British government's job is to deflect that anger onto people in positions too weak to defend themselves.
It's not a question of what the duty of a government is, at the point Great Britain is at. It's about maintaining aesthetics.
Fascism is described by Walter Benjamin as the introduction of aesthetics into politics. - today, we're witnessing the total replacement of politics through aesthetics.
