Trump falsely claims he has won election, even though ballots are still being counted
Quote:
President Donald Trump falsely claimed he had won the presidential election early Wednesday morning and threatened to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to halt the counting of legally cast absentee ballots he described as a "fraud."
Trump pointed to his early lead in the pivotal battleground of Pennsylvania and said it would be "almost impossible" for Democratic nominee Joe Biden to catch up there and in other states. In fact, there were enough votes outstanding in those states to swing the total back to Biden's favor.
Speaking in the White House East Room, Trump said he would be "going to the US Supreme Court" and that "we want all voting to stop."
Trump touted his wins in Florida and Texas during the early morning remarks and claimed without evidence that a “very sad group of people” was trying to disenfranchise his supporters. Conversely, he complained that one network – Fox News – had called the race for Biden in Arizona despite outstanding votes in that state.
Trump was criticized by Chris Christie and Rick Santorum who said he was “distressed” over the remarks.
Worst case scenario/Murphy’s law but also our fault as a country also. The election just had to be a cliff hanger. Team Biden Votes by more by mail, Team Trump more in person guaranteeing Trump takes big leads and have them whittled down when the absentee ballots start getting counted giving the appearance of massive fraud to a group of people more then ready to believe we was robbed. If Trump wins Trump’s remarks will further convince progressives we was robbed.
While I did not expect conclusive results at this point due to absentee ballots I felt and hoped by this time we would have a good indication. Wishful thinking.
