Yeah, he has no human decency about him at all. There is no shame in making money, but this guy has no soul whatsoever.

He is a rank amateur trying to play the "Deep State" game.
I hope his metaverse fails sooner rather than later. 8)

Jesus Christ, this is authoritarian, populist nonsense. Although what else does one expect from Nadine Dorries?

If she had her way, this would have a horribly chilling effect upon freedom of speech.

IMO we should generally be conservative when it comes to regulating speech because the unintended consequences of government overreach are too horrible. It seems like Dorries wants to make it impossible to have an open discussion about suicide. And if you look at the steps tumblr has taken to hide content, it involved banning tags such as “selfie”, “racism”, “girl”, and “bald”. Is that the future you want for Facebook - statuses automatically taken down if they contain the word “girl”?

If you want someone to go to prison merely because you don’t like them, if you want everyone to have their freedom of speech because you don’t like some people - might I suggest moving to North Korea?

Hmm, cancel culture has been putting Conservatives in prison/the gulag and taking away their livelihoods for the past decade.

I didn't hear much argument about free spech back then...

There is libertarian Conservatism & authoritarian Conservatism, as I am sure you know.

Touche. :)

if you want to get rich like that, you can't afford a soul. you have to ignore decency to become filthy rich. But it's okay, I mean, capitalism is a process, notva moral framework. it's amoral, and so are they filthy rich. not decidedly immoral, just, morality doesn't factor into capitalist logic.

while I do agree that stealing from the Vinklevosses was a brave act of decency, I don't think he did it out of the kindness of his heart

Name one conservative sent to prison for their beliefs in the last decade.

Being criticised or losing your job is entirely different to governments literally putting people in prison for being insufficiently censorious. What you are advocating for is far worse than cancel culture.

Yes, there are libertarian conservatives. That’s a non-sequitur, irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

Losing one's job or facing untrue accusations as part of cancel culture can ruin a persons life in many dimensions. Accusations stick with a person via their reputation, even when they are not true/have been proven false. They can make a cancelled person homeless if they are vulnerable already.

Mark Zuckerberg is a threat to children everywhere. It has been proven in studies that children are more likely to self-harm when exposed to social media excessively, and especially when spending time in certain groups or discussion pages.

The guy makes money from controversy on social media, because controversy is click-bait, which equals more revenue for tech' companies.

The guy makes money from human misery. If you are not against that then you are by default, advocating for predatory capitalism.

Those who have harmed real life people as part of cancel culture shouldn't be sore when they are at the mercy of real law & order.
