The only thing we can say from these few pixels is that it's fatty in the back.
Could be this, could be Iskander, could be anything fatty in the back.

Browsing through launched rocket photos I find it most similar to this:

but I can't identify it and it's just a random browse effect.

yes, I get that. But what is the fact that's being checked, and is it checked merely for accuracy's sake or is there some possible consequence?

I'm wondering if you're trying to derive the model to prove the missile was not shot by the Russian army, or something like that.
Or are you just interested in heavy weapons?

It would for those that care to know the truth.

Personally I first heard a narrative in western news reports, without any details. Then I heard a different thing said in a live stream (voice) discussion on YouTube, but with some details. While the western narrative is not implausible, in the context of the fact presented in the discussion a different, but more complete picture emerges that is no less plausible. I just want to know how it really happened. Maybe someone else will find value in that too.

Otherwise you're right, the news outlets will use any image to shape a narrative, regardless of the facts.

Why would finding out that this is a Kh-101 instead of a Kh-102 make any difference?

Model would imply usage, ground-to-air, air-to-air, air-to-ground, or ground-to-ground. The usage would imply the likely circumstances of how it was fired, and possibly by whom. That's as direct of an answer as you can possibly get.

The bottom line is: this apartment building was damaged by a missile.

To the people who are displaced by the damage caused by this missile, the make and model of missile really doesn't matter.

Yes, when everyone is safe again.

Putin started this war. He and his KGB blokes. This is the person who should be taken accountable first. He is harming Ukrainians and Russians.

Then, everyone, on any side, who crossed the line and started harming civilians.
The one who gave the order to shoot GRAD at Charkiv. The one who gave order to shoot at an ambulance. Numerous cases to be reviewed after we're all safe.
