Is there literally any evidence to support this? It’s pretty hard to imagine that “corporate media networks” care how many people are disliking its YouTube videos - and they almost certainly don’t care whether other people know about that.

These attacks often targeted smaller creators and those just getting started. We want every creator to feel they can express themselves without harassment.
That seems like a much more credible explanation than the frankly absurd “corporate media networks” one.
Good rule: if something seems absurd, check whether it is true, or whether there is a better explanation, before you get outraged.
