What could the US gain from Canada other than natural resources?

I'd rather have Mexico but it would be better as a low-cost business alternative to China if Mexico were to stay independent.

..natural resources are pretty much what wars have been fought over for centuries.. and Canada has a lot of ‘em.

But Tucker doesnt WANT us to conquer Canada. He wants us to enslave....err...I mean he wants us to LIBERATE Canada!

Pretty sure maple syrup is way down the list after fresh water, hydro-electricity, minerals, lumber, oil, farmland, seafood, seaports, access to Northern shipping routes opening up via climate change etc etc - plenty to steal from Canada.

You forgot the most important thing of all. Shale.

We need CONQUER Canada...because of ....SHALE.

Oil shale.

First we conquer Canada. Then strip mine the Canadian Rockies. Just dismantle the entire group of mountain ranges, a grind them up into tailings, and extract all of the oil.

Then we use the tailings to...rebuild the Rockies. But to our liking.

Instead of running north-south like they do now our new improved Rockies will run east-west across the top of Canada.

That way the mountains will block the polar express weather that comes down from the north pole. It will also allow the moderating effects of the westerly winds from the pacific to moderate the climate of the whole length of Canada and make Canada warm (like western Europe). Thus reducing their need for fossil fuels.

Is that a plan.. Or what?

I saw no future for The States when Shrub Jr. was in office, begged my Dad to get us up there; he said he had a mortgage in the States and wouldn't "Take a bath on the house." Damn shame Canada doesn't invade us and force us to have sane economic regulations, higher life expediencies and take learning a second language somewhat seriously.

You’re a grown man of working (and tax paying!) age for decades yet and speak English and understand Canadian cultural norms etc etc. Got hands on skills to build anything? If so, chances are pretty good that the Corporation of Canada will grant you permission to move North and pay taxes in our coloured currency. They like working men with skills that can hop into the economy and start paying taxes asap.
