I don't think the true story is out there yet, be a while. But he isn't immune just by leaving the White House. I'm guessing he's trying to let his being a hot button issue for the up coming elections die down. But then I'm thinking that's only part of it. Just a guess on my part.

how many ppl have jumped ship from the Bush admin they must be setting a new record on how many go or retire, get replaced . Even Loyalists can find that they are on the outside in a flash. Or more like the amount of crap they had to sign off on started to bug even the Bush Loyalists.
