I have been reading about the tempest in a teapot down in the Middle East since I was a little boy & expect it will still be boiling over when I'm dead & gone and young folk are sitting in a chair like me, grown old and sipping coffee and thinking about that faraway land and the killing and murdering going on over there.

My notions are out of left field and divorced from anything I see in the media today. I believe the Jews post-WW2 were influenced by the terrible trauma of the Holocaust to revert to their Holy Script & return to Zion because they felt they could not trust any other nation or people with their safety and protection, and that does make sense to me.

Sometimes however, you cannot go back home, or home isn't what it used to be. They are a determined & resourceful people however and can move mountains when they set their impressive minds to it. However they underestimated the Palestinians who were just as determined by all accounts to endure & accept whatever hardships in the hopes of one day recovering their lands.

I think they ought to have accepted a new Revelation, & immigrated to sparsely populated western Australia, where they might have enjoyed generations of peace & prosperity. Although it is late, I still believe this is a potential "out" in the event that the U.S. becomes gravely diminished in prestige and power and can no longer supply Israel with armaments. There are alliances around the world working together to diminish our country, and this is no doubt why Iran has been an implacable enemy of the U.S. I do not see a lot of hope for the U.S., I see hope instead for China, and I'm an American.

Now western Australia is a very interesting location, also a desert, with ample mineral resources. It is within trading distance of powerhouse India, South Africa, and SE Asia. It has extremely low population. There is already a minority in Australia, the Aborginal population. In exchange for money and skilled workers, Australia could be induced to accept this "invasion" out of economic self-interest. The problem with Australia has always been low population. What the Israelis excel at is making a living out of desert scrub.

When Jewish Zionism first got going as an organized political movement, they did consider a few other possible locations besides Palestine. However, that was back in the days when Jewish Zionists were mostly nonreligious.

These days, an ever-increasing number of Israeli Jews are ultra-Orthodox religious Zionists. (They are ever-increasing partly because they tend to have lots of babies.) Many if not all of these folks likely will, on religious principle, refuse to live anywhere except the Holy Land, no matter what. Even if the Israeli government ever gets destroyed and replaced by a Palestinian state, they'll still want to live there.

Note: Most of Israel is not a desert. Only the southern part, the Negev/Naqab, is a desert.

To some extent, yes, but Israel's ability to "make the desert bloom" has been greatly exaggerated in Zionist propaganda. There are some kibbutzim in the Negev/Naqab, which indeed benefited from irrigation projects. But those kibbutzim are only a very small part of Israel's farmland, most of which is in the Galilee region in the north, which usually gets plenty of rain.

On the other hand, Israel's tech sector could easily move just about anywhere. So, yes, it could move to western Australia if need be.

Anyone thought to ask the first nations peoples before suggesting another invasion?
WA has an ancient and delicate set of ecosystems and probably doesn't need more people with Israeli settler attitudes interfering with the intense bond between first nations and the country they're connected to.
Surely a land calling for the tired, the poor and the huddled masses that already has an established
Jewish population supporting Zionism is a more appropriate destination?
Come on Trump...put your guns where your mouth is....

As I said in another thread I predict if Israel fails Americans will say something like "Having failed to settler colonize Palestine they want to try that s**t here. f**k off. " Not only the "woke left" but the die-hard Christian Zionist "Jew lovers". There are some similarities between the idea that Israel has been a uniquely evil settler colonial project that is genociding the natives from the get-go and the Great Replacement Theory which posits that Jews are here to replace white people with "them". The Jews will be blamed for putting off the coming of the Messiah. Satan will probably get in there somehow.

It looks very unlikely that during the Trump Administration Israel will collapse but I'll bite. Trump is anti-refugee. So, is he going to make an exception for "losers"?

Please see my reply in the separate thread Israel/Palestine and settler-colonialism.

I should clarify that I don't actually endorse the idea of Israeli Jews "invading" West Australia en masse, although, in parts of my original reply to the OP, I replied on the OP's own terms.

I don't think it's likely to happen anyway. As I said in my original reply to the OP, even if the Jewish-dominated Israeli government falls, I think that most of Israel's increasingly ultra-Orthodox Jewish population will want to stay there no matter what.

Granted.
My response was more tongue in cheek than anything.
Although I did delete the final line "and squeeze"
I was in a funny mood after turning my ward into an apparent crime scene after pissing blood everywhere during my drain hose removal.
But hey... I had two nurses holding me... Like I was complaining! :D
