I think he is talking about beuing open to converts, various forms of elisim, etc. For instance the Druze don't accept converts and are divided between al-ˤUqqāl "the Knowledgeable Initiates" and al-Juhhāl "the Ignorant" and much of the Druze holy litrature is keep a secret from al-Juhhāl and anyone but al-ˤUqqāl

I was just going to leave the question ambiguous because I was as interested in how it would be interpreted as much as in how the question would be answered.

What fueled the question in the first place is the start of a thread on WP for ONLY Christians or Agnostics. I found the beginning of such a thread somewhat offensive since from my perspective Christians should be open about their beliefs with everyone not just discuss those beliefs among themselves.
