Some idiots on the left have cried wolf far too many times. One thing I know about human nature is backlash.

I don't believe there will be a unified answer to this question.

Countries with left-wing governments seem likely to shift towards the right, at least in the short-term, but I suspect countries like the US are going to see a backlash against their right-wing government and the failures that will almost certainly result from their policies.

The reaction to that CEO getting shot in NYC shows that the US right isn't completely ignorant when it comes to class consciousness, they just don't think the left is focused on the correct issues because they see a lot of progressive social stances as "luxury beliefs". Elitist lickspittles like Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh got absolutely ratio'd by their own audiences for condemning people who were sympathetic to the shooter instead of the dead parasite.

It's also not like idiots on the right haven't also cried wolf too many times, even the whole anti-woke grift is starting to run out of steam due to the audience starting to grow exhausted with the endless false cries of wolf.

I don't think Farage and his mates in the UK have got any chance of getting into power. If they did look out for mass homelessness and people in need getting shafted whilst the rich get tax cuts.

^Sadly, I wouldn't be so sure about that. I can easily see it happening if people aren't feeling any better off after Labour's first term.

Either alone or in coalition with the Tories, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Reform get some sort of power at the next election.

Of course it would be a disaster because they're not really interested in the actual work of governing. Their populist ideology will smack hard into reality, just as it did with Brexit. It'll just be a matter of how much damage they do.

I expect similar will happen when the Tories replace the Libs here, and in the US as the leopards eating faces party begins eating faces.

Conservatives benefit when they're in opposition only to gain power and then prove to be an incompetent disaster.

There are so many idiots on the far left who have cried wolf far too many times that I no longer believe them what they say without independent confirmation.

Similarly, there are so many idiots on the far right who have cried wolf far too many times that I no longer believe them what they say without independent confirmation.

It doesn't matter whether they are far left or far right, they are doing what they can glorify their side and to demonize the other side.

I just don't understand how people keep on falling for it.

No, the right is not interested in bringing grocery prices or gas prices down. No, they do not care about the working class. The right is the party of the rich. And even though all parties (in the US, at least) are controlled by big money, the right doesn't even try to make things better for the working class. Their policies are geared toward the rich, even at the expense of everyone else - cutting taxes on the wealthy, cutting regulations that keep our food, water, infrastructure, etc. safe, being anti-union and resisting policies that make for better and safer working conditions, etc., etc.

How in the F did unions rally around Trump? What in the F is wrong with people? How are they this clueless?

It's like it's backlash just to be backlash. Doesn't matter to these people the results of their votes, they just want to stick it to who's in power because they aren't doing enough, even though who they voted for will make everything worse. It's just...baffling.

It's enough for the right wing poor and middle class to be acknowledged
