Does anyone have any origional poetry to submit? I will post below something I wrote around 15 years ago before I got busy with building a family etc. Ill be back in the scene in a few more years when the time is right but any poems you have might be inspirting to me or others that frequent the site. ..... ok here is 1 (written as a 20 yr old) Ill add more old stuff if there is interest and am escited to see what else is out there:
The smiling faces you have bring me so low
a man is crying like a baby, no one hears him whale
a dead wife and a son a year ago
his tears are melting christmas snow
I dont think it was meant to be like this
people loving for this christmas season
there seems to me no other reason
as the days ahead will be like before
enjoy it before you close the door
the echatholic pegan brings smiles to some
as others are sadly swallowing guns
remember them in your christmas cheer
say a prayer to dispell your fear
be happy if you can
while you remember them
'cause a year from this day
you may have no freind
and even the man who cries away
might not be here next year today
then you'll know what its like to be alone
maybe what its like to have no home
I guarentee you wont be smilling
and you wont be so happy

Ok a little dark, but untill I wanted a more positive role model for my daughter I spent christmas alone and had myself removed from the catholic faith not from a lack of beleif in the teachings of Christ but because of a lack of consistency between those and the teachings of the church.
I has a more of a Spinoza view of the universe now but it is not in conflict in any way with the views and teachings of most of the major prophets.
I really hope sopmeone is on this page.
BTW
I am interested in poetry of any sort it doesnt have to be about anything I care about it just have to have substance and feeling, thats what its really about.
