7000 people died in one attack on US soil by a few madmen.

700,000 innocents died in a foreign country as a result of our angry backlash.

Get over 9/11, we only suffered a little.

Please cease and desist with these inflammatory topics. Trouble has already been caused by at least two of them. Perhaps the mods should be keeping an eye on which topics are posted here, because lately it has gotten out of hand.

There's always 2 (or more) points of view.

If you are a moslem and believe that the Koran is the word of Allah, then Jihad is right, because the Koran tells you to kill non believers (Jews) where ever you find them as they return to their home (Israel/Palestine).

If you are not a moslem, then its not right.

Not sure what date Libya agreed to surrender their entire WMD program. But that is the date the War on Terror expansion should have stopped. Should have held the ground we had then and stopped large scale operations.

a LOT of things. Literally,
if means struggle. One can
Jihad against their own
worst tendencies.

it means something different.

In the same way Islam means peace. Pity the idea doesnt always get put into practise.

Waging war on the middle east (Iraq, Iran) could also be considered a Western Jihad, because your cause wouldn't be that much different to theirs. You got rid of Saddam by force under the impression that it was for WMDs when there weren't any, now you are talking about Iran and their nukes. Invading a country to depose their regime, not matter how evil you think it is, is resorting to the same practices they are. Only you are doing it on a far bigger scale with your army. Terrorists only go for sneak attacks; nobody knew about the planes hitting New York until they did. So as has been said earlier, both side could be using the term Jihad, it's just one firmly sticks by it under there belief system.
