I wrote a blog post about some of the Aspergurs stuff I've been struggling with and I was hoping to get some of your oppinions on it.

My brain likes to stay up in the middle of night as well. I have lost jobs because of this. I havn't been in churches since I was young. The only church I like was the one across the street from my Grandma's house. There was balcony seating and a very small congregation. So what me and my cousin and sister would do was crawl behind the pews in the balcony section and lay down on our jackets. It was the only time I can remember where I was in the church and I felt relaxed. Yeah maybe I am crazy but I find being comfortable very conducive to sinking in my mind the whole God question.

Have you ever considered going to a ministry school? I bet you wish you lived a couple hundred of years ago. I can imagine myself going that route in the 1800s or maybe even before that time. Modern churches seem not as good as the ones in the past. There really does seem to be a lack of rigorous yet philosophical debate on the existence of God. I have considered making my own group at times. At this time at my life though I can't even seem to organize a book club.

The hymn post was interesting. I remember having to sing hymns in a parochial school I attended. A lot of the lyrics never seemed to make a lot of sense to me. My favorite songs about God tend to be quasi-spiritual that deal with people's modern day struggles with their faith. It doesn't make sense to me for a church to soley rely on archaic music of the past.

I don't know if I am reading the right blog.

anyway - my thoughts for the blog I read.

You don't need healing - you are perfectly 'you'. You are an individual. We all have things we struggle with - everyone of us - we weren't made to fit a mold. I can see from your photo you are a good person. Accept yourself for the way God made you. Don't try too much to be like everyone else.
