what do you think? if it was the the truth why would it need to be restored? a more appropriate word would be re-invent, wich i dont think would make it the truth

There are various religions that believe that God revealed himself to other religions, but that the message got lost or twisted, so he gives a new group another revelation to re-establish the truth. Other religions talk about progressive revelations - that God periodically gives a new message, and it is only as much as humanity can handle.

I am not a member of that church. I don't know much about it, but don't believe their doctrines.

Mormonism is one of several classically American religions which have had some success in other countries. (Others include the Jehovah's Witnesses and Christian Scientists.) It is a fascinating religion to study. Reading its scriptures gives some good insights into 19th-century American Romanticism.
