Only 2% of the world's population is atheist. 33% adheres to Christianity (the largest) and Islam is second, meaning over half the population follows an Abrahamic religion.

By the way, Christianity is virtually exploding in South Korea and much of Asia.

Without God, there is no hope. It is the opulent, decadent American lifestyle that causes Islam to hate us, and those are the extremist's words.

Uh, I think your statistics are ass backwards there buddy. Islam has the most followers, and atheist make up more than 2 % without a doubt. Especially in eastern europe, they've been an atheist country through all the soviet empire, even though their empire collapsed many of them are still instinctively communist red russians because it is what they know. Try doing some research and getting to actually know what your talking about before opening your big mouth.

So your supporting a dictatorship or tyranny, where nobody has the freedom to not believe in god? It is only the weak who "need" god to tell them right from wrong.

You do realize that Islamics believe in God. The hijackers who crashed the planes killing thousands on 9/11/01 did so in the name of god.

And you definately need to brush up on your facts if you think Christians are the only ones that believe in god, or even the only ones that believe in the christianized god.

Islam is a large religion, but not as large as Christianity. Fact is, you guys ARE in the minority. The number of nonreligious is 11%, atheists make up 2%.

Funny how even when your wrong data is pointed out through the use of common collective knowledge you still find it impossible to bring up a single credible source for your data

I don't understand the distinction between atheist, agnostic, and nonreligious. All three of these groups basically have no religious beliefs. Some people don't like to call themselves atheist because that word is associated with people who are arrogant and judgmental towards religious people. Atheist doesn't technically mean anti-God or anti-religion though. It isn't even anti-spirituality. It merely means a lack of belief in god(s).

Atheist itself doesn't mean anti-religious either. There are many religious with atheistic beliefs, some are very widely established and well known world wide.

i don't think the purpose of atheism is to convince other people to be atheists, so i don't see how anyone failed.

Appeal to popularity/majority.

Fallacy.
