group claims
I just wanna say that, I am against the war in iraq because it is not good for us as a nation and it's costing us a fortune, while oil barons are getting richer for poor people dying for their greed.
Liberals are against the war because Saddam Hussein was an arab, therefore he's a minority and he can do no wrong, reguardless of how brutal and inhumane he treated his people. Or that's the impression they give off with many of today's issues.
Right, Left, at the end of the day it's all high school politics, more about cliques than facts. People need to stop clinging to group claims to civil rights and just embrace individual claims. Is there some degree of injustice towards certain groups? Yes, but there is injusice done by and against all groups. Majorities and minorities. All races, religions, genders, nationalities, etc. And until people can be more responsible and own up to their part in the mess they've created, and work together instead of against one another, and compromise, and unite against these corporations that are pitting people against one another, I do not see things getting better.
How can someone truely call themselves an individual when all their thoughts, opinions, etc were given to them? When you've got an official opinion book for whatever category you label yourself under? That is not individuality, it is not freedom, it is mental slavery. And people buy it because they love the sub-conscious feeling they get from being ignorant.
People vote for special rights, special priveledges, based on their race, gender, religion, or political label, and they do this while disreguarding how unfair it might be to someone else. Because people are too engrained to not be able to view themselves critically, to step outside themselves and look at themselves from another person's point of view.
I mean how many here see individuality dying? I know to some degree group rights are necessary, if someone is being oppressed. But really it's gotten out of hand. It's getting to the point where group identity, group think, are valued over individuality, where people are detached and sub-divided so far into their "cliques" where they battle other "cliques" for special rights...... Cliques can range from gender, to religion, to race, to political labels, but it's generally the same BS. No body ever wants to own up to their clique's criticisms. They wanna think they are virtuous or beyond criticism. And people get fed up with one anothers' ignorance while not even acknowledging their own ignorance. So they begin pointing fingers but really they are hypocrites. All of them, from any GIVEN walk of life.
People need to regain a since of individuality, independent from being pigeon-holed and pressured into a clique, we should not strive to be a bee colony. People did a better job at getting a long and co-existing BEFORE 9/11, a time when religious fanaticism and PC extremism and Generation Mtv apathy/stupidity weren't spreading like cancer through the public minds...... I mean for f**k sake, it's gotten to where people are dumb on purpose because they think stupidity is "cool" and anyone who has anything intelligent to say is a "dork" or a "weirdo".
Liberals are against the war in iraq because it is not good for us as a nation and it's costing us a fortune, while oil barons are getting richer for poor people dying for their greed.
Snake thinks liberals are against the war because Saddam Hussein was an arab, therefore he's a minority and he can do no wrong, reguardless of how brutal and inhumane he treated his people.
Snake thinks people need to stop clinging to group identities, while at the same time talking about "us" as a nation.
Snake never met a straw man he couldn't knock down. ``
