I am an anti-capitalist, and the environment is one of my concerns, along with worker's rights, the Welfare State and so on.

Yes. I've been working through Barbara Kingsolver's book Small Wonders. She does an excellent job of making some of the issues more understandable to the layman, for example, genetic engineering. I highly recommend this book (and others written by her as well).

Well, in a research capacity at least. I need to research eco-warriors for a story of mine.

We need more Earth saving Green Technology for our Beloved EARTH. If we would build and use such technologies it would be a better WORLD FOR US ALL

I spend time doing outdoor activities, so that sets me at odds with most liberal "environmental activists" that never set foot outside of major cities. My views don't suare up with most activists, but I do favor taking measures to keep beaches clean, protect forests, and slow down land development. I am, however opposed to the Kyoto Protocol. The US should create a seperate set of laws better suited to our own econmic and environmental needs.

I am a civil engineering student, focused on hydrological/geotechnical/environmental design. The environmental eng course is 75% the same. I live in a reasonably small rural town and have a vested interest in the natural environment.
