Oddly, though, although Clinton got 51% of the Democratic vote, Obama will actually get more delegates from Nevada. Apparently it has something to do with the way caucuses are conducted there. <shrug>
I did learn part of the reason for Ron Paul's unusually strong showing in the Silver State, however, while watching ABC News. There's a popular brothel in Nevada, the Bunny Ranch, which is also featured in a series on HBO. One of the ladies there takes campaign contributions for Paul from her customers. She calls it "Pimpin' for Paul", and apparently it's quite a popular way for people to contribute...
Ron Paul coming in second place has a lot more to do with his 'No taxes on tips stance' and highly organized grassroots. They organize district by district now. Also, the official Ron Paul campaign has dropped some bucks in the Silver state on ads and stuff. Not to mention his ultra-consistent voting record and never falling away from his conservative principles. Less taxes, less big government, and more freedom returned to the people.
