I noticed a pattern that most ppl who are antisemites would deny it, and they would go as far as saying that the phenomenon is virtually non-existant. So using the word "antisemitism" is a proof one is NOT an antisemite. Most often ppl who use such word are either Jews or sympathize with Jews. Hence using such a word with regards to oneself makes one an oximoron.

Either way, the above was just the working of my own brain that motivated me to ask this question. So as far as poll is concerned just give me the HONEST answer. DO YOU consider yourself an antisemite??? Once again, BE HONEST. I just want to test my theory that 0% will say yes. So again BE HONEST. Otherwise it won't work.

What's the point of asking such a question when you've loaded the results in that manner?
There's no way you're going to get any kind of meaningful response...

I don't have any problem with Jews and I'm part Jewish myself, but I do tell holocaust jokes and other jokes about Jews just because I have a sick sense of humor.

(sarcasm)
I also can't stand those left handed people. They're a feeble minded inferior race, they're in league with the Illuminati, and they have funny names I can't pronounce.

GOD
I grew up around a lot of Jews and no, they weren't perfect, but I still just cannot understand the way people discriminate against Jews (especially these crazy f*****g conspiracy theorists... WTF???) They're one of the most-discriminated-against groups in history, why can't people let up on them?!

((that having been said, my thoughts on the creation of Israel are a bit mixed))

I don't see the point of anti-Semitism. Maybe I'm oblivious, but I just don't see much hatred against Jews. Then again, I live in the United States and am 21 years old. Maybe older generations and other countries have more anti-Semitic feeling.

Anti-semitism is definitely a real thing. Being half-Jewish on my dad's side (which technically means I am not Jewish), I am not an anti-semite.

I wonder who answered yes on the poll, but they probably won't say.

I gotta quote The Fiddler on the Roof on this one: 'I know we are the chosen people, but once in a while can't you choose someone else?'

I am part Jewish as well and I just watched a Law and Order Criminal Intent episode about this last night. Anti-semitism is so evil. I just get very angry about it.

Same here, but I'm moving to Israel in a few months to study and convert. From my perspective, many Orthodox practices are consistant with AS: rocking when praying or studying, not touching other people (espescially the opposite sex), daily ritual and schedule, required vocal honesty (instead of implication), plenty of purity ritual to satisfy any OCD, and I'm sure other things I can't think of right now.

Um. Actually, as a key note, Anti-semitic actually means Anti-Arab, under a technicallity of language.

It's true that Arabs are semites, just like Jews, but the term anti-semitism was coined by Wilhelm Marr in the 1870s specifically to mean hatred of Jews. Marr established the Anti-Semitic League in 1879 in Germany. So Jews didn't invent the word! And while it's true that it's not the best choice of phrases, it doesn't make specific Jew-hatred any less real.

If you expect to stay there, Army duty is Mandatory for all Isreali Citizens, unless you happen to be Hasidic (Who are exempt from serving, I believe).

He may not have to worry.

They have a racket set up where they take American jewish people and send them to Israel for free or close to free. Lots of their expenses are paid. The scheme involves them buying a house, living in it for 2 years, selling it for a profit, then returning to the USA. There is a bunch of USA taxpayer dollars involved. I forget all the details.

It was almost as good as the settlers who left Gaza being paid up to $500,000 USA taxpayer dollars to leave the settlements.

Although I'm old enough to be exempt, I plan on petitioning to serve in the IDF. I believe there are two categories that are exempt:
One is the NK types that don't believe the State of Israel exists
The other are the ultra-religious, their purpose is to see to it that the wealth of Jewish knowlege is preserved and they learn in state-sponsored religious schools well into their twenties (sometimes beyond). This program is likely to be overhauled in the near future, many don't want the Ultra-Orthodox to be exempt and many Ultra-Orthodox Jews want to serve today.

Oh joy, the resident anti-Semite pops up. Why is this hater allowed here?

What the %#$@ are you talking about? While any Jew that moves to Israel gets benefits, and I'm familiar with them, what you're describing makes no sense. There was problems with Russians forging documents 'proving' Jewish ancestry a few years ago to get Immigrant Assistance to Israel (when they had no right to move to Israel) I've never heard of Americans moving to Israel to return to America at a profit. The allegations of "USA taxpayer dollars" being defrauded show what's in your heart: hatred of Jews.

Actually, those people were forced from their homes, those payments are for their property, they have not yet recieved the money, and the US certainly hasn't paid for it!

Wow "antisemitic league" seem to prove my theory wrong. So those were antisemites who actually referred to themselves as such and openly admitted it. Perhaps it has changed because the word ackwired more of a negative stigma later on??? By the way, does antisemitic league still exists in Germany?
