by far not the greatest country but i'm pretty sure i'd rather it over other countries.

there are just certain socialist tendencies that turn me off...like the whole banning smoking thing in much of europe (and cali) and the control on guns (even though i don't own one, i still think it's a critical right for the citizens to be able to protect themselves).

America really isn't a piece of geography or a vote in the UN General Assembly. America is an idea; it's a state of mind.
