No, I'm not talking about those hot gay guys who are so hard to understand. My question is,
what if fairies are real? I have never seen a fairy so I'm not saying they exist, however I do wonder why so many people all around the world have hallucinations about these creatures.

The lore of fairies can be found in literature from many cultures. They are believed to be spirits that encompass plants, flowers, trees, etc. I say that fairies are just our way of labeling this phenomenon of energy that is the carrier of life from death. What makes earth matter that decays transform into something new? Why can't it be repeated over and over in a lab? Why do some people seem to have "green thumbs". There is some missing link, and this link may be what our ancestors and shamans around the world refer to as fairies.

Joan of Arc was asked during her sentencing for being a witch, "Did you speak to the fairies (in such and such place that was anciently believed where fairies resided out by some tree in some meadow in France). She said that she conversed with them and this is what ultimately brought about her demise. However, she was able to almost single handedly defeat the British army based upon their advice to her.

Was Joan of Arc a schizophrenic or visionary? Her tactics did work so that does provide some proof, right? Maybe it was all coincidence. However, she did convince the King of France that she was legit in a private meeting. Is anyone familiar with this private meeting? I read a cool book about the dialogue that took place and it seems too coincidental that she (a peasant girl) should know such secrets about a king. I'll pull it up later if anyone is interested.

Anyways....If fairies are real, how would that effect your current view of the world?
Would you bet your life that they do or don't exist?

There is a leprechaun lookin' for some lost souls, and he wants you to place a bet? hehehehe

Because they can't handle a bleak and dreary reality, and need the crutch of a fantasy world full of beauty and variety to get them through the day.

Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe there are faeries at the bottom of it too?

^That makes sense. Maybe they do reside in the dream world?

I think therefore I am.

I dream therefore I am?

Fantasy worlds and creatures do not exist. That's why they're called fantasies.

Perhaps, but I happen to find fairies sexy.

If you believe fan art to be a form of reality, then yes, they are real.

You naughty boy Fnord you really should acknowledge Douglas Adams for this quote

Re - faeries to quote Dawkins talking about his belief in god 'I am agnostic only to the extent that I am agnostic about faeries at the bottom of the garden'

In other words faeries exist only because we cannot disprove them

Quote:
Goin' home, late last night
Suddenly I got a fright
Yeah I looked through a window and surprised what I saw
A fairy with boots and dancin' with a dwarf,

All right now!

Yeah, fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
Yeah I saw it, I saw it, I tell you no lies
Yeah Fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
I saw it, I saw it with my own two eyes,

Oh all right now!

Yeah, fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
Yeah I saw it, I saw it, I tell you no lies
Yeah Fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
I saw it, I saw it with my own two eyes,

All right now!

So I went to the doctor
See what he could give me
He said "Son, son, you've gone too far.
'Cause smokin' and trippin' is all that you do."

To quote Ozzy Osbourne.

I love fairies.

Can't say I believe in them but I've always been fascinated by celtic mythology.

Since Tinka-Bell seems a vague possibility, how about Peter Pan? I could use some of that fairy dust when traffic jams the highway.
