The writer Hunter S. Thompson predicted how someone like Trump would end up getting elected.

Very fascinating article, and I think spot on.
Stephen King has been heralded for predicting Trump's rise in his novel, The Dead Zone, with the conman politician Greg Stilson.

There are elements of Orwell in the Trump apparatus, too.

If left to his own devices, I see potential Big Brother tendencies in him, and in the apparatus.

It's possible some in the apparatus are into eugenics in the sense that the society of "Brave New World" was into eugenics.
