Quote:
When asked by a students why Israel continues to endanger itself in the face of Hamas when the Islamist group refuses to release captured soldier Gilad Shalit, Livni said: "If people think I can just go an release Gilad Shalit or that the government can, but just doesn?t want to, it's not true."

"The government must be responsible for the soldiers it sends out. We all want to avoid fatalities but part of what it means to fight is that we have no other choice. We can't also bring everyone home," she said.

Last month, Livni infuriated Israeli Arab lawmakers when she said: It must be clear to everyone that the State of Israel is a national homeland for the Jewish people."

At the time, Livni added that the national demands of Israeli Arabs should end the moment a Palestinian state is established.

In response to Livni's comments, Culture, Sports and Science Minister Ghaleb Majadele said, "The roots of the Israeli Arab citizens of Israel were planted before the state was established. They are residents of this country with rights; their residency and citizenship are not open for negotiation."

"Anyone who raises the idea of transferring the Arab population in Israel to the territories of the state of Palestine is anti-democractic," the Israeli Arab

i think its pretty silly that people fight over a piece of land the size of a napkin. but hey throw the invicible genie in the mix who made teh napkin and BAM instant wars, discimination and terrorism for all times. lovely, nothing is gonna change over there, so people need to stop reporting on it with tv cameras. whats to report? isrealies and palistinians fighting again? WOW how completley shocking. at first it was cool like maybe thousands of years ago but now its just boring and ghey

game over

Peoples don't value their land by its size , should we give up our country just because it's small? Smaller country usually have smaller population so it's relative.

And this article is not about Palestinians and Israelis fighting each others, it's about Arab Israelis ..

yes, states and countries r things of the past, everyone should give up on this primitive holding to a land and national identity,on religion too.
i think one world with no borders is very compatible with aspie interests and mental state.

i was born in Israel and spent most of my life here,
also worked in Europe and travel to many places around the world and israel is as good a place as every other place,in fact, better than most.

livni never said that the arabs should move but some ppl don't mind the truth as long as they can see a even a the tiniest chance to incite hatred

"Once a Palestinian state is established, I can come to the Palestinian citizens, whom we call Israeli Arabs, and say to them 'you are citizens with equal rights, but the national solution for you is elsewhere,'" Livni was quoted by Army Radio as saying to students at a Tel Aviv high school.

Wasn't this said by Livni ? Yes , it was. So the title is not misleading and that article is written by Haaretz.com. And I posted the source since the beginning.

that doesn't mean they have to move,
and they probably won't,
it means that if equal rights are not enough for them and they need a an Arab nationality and state as well they might find the solution in the Palestinian state,
the article never mention or quote anything like moving the Israeli Arabs to Palestine,
livni said that if they seek a Palestine national identity they Palestine should be the solution because clearly israel would never be a Palestinian state but unlike Lebanon we have no problem with having a Palestinian arab minister/

half the country is desert but 90% of the population r living north to beer sheba where it is typical Mediterranean climate with lots of rain and vegetation and the country is green from the sea to the mountains but u probably missed that because of all the Jews wandering around, please don't be afraid of the Jews,i promise we won't eat your baby/

israel will always be right to certain people and muslims will always be wrong.

i consider this bigotry and dangerous because of how it's gaining such acceptance to hate a muslim.

And hatred of anything that smells of Jewish in the Arab/Muslim world is A-OK. Uh-huh, gotcha.

I don't know how biased can be to hate muslims, or biased enough to hate jews. I hate them both!
