I am wondering why so many people the USA.

I understand that many people are upset about Iraq. But most Americans don't agree with that war either, and the administration.

Doesn't the help done by many of people for WWII, or the inventions it has made count for anything?

Doesn't or defense of smaller nations that are picked on count for anything?

How about the Billions of dollars in aid we give to Africa, Mexico, and other third world nations mean anything?

How about the trillions of debt we absorbed in stopping the USSR?

Why do you hate the USA?

im not gonna debate you here, but im gonna give you my answers (based on my interpretation of my reality), to your questions.

"Doesn't the help done by many of people for WWII, or the inventions it has made count for anything?"
NO.
its long ago, and the USSR did the main resquing of europe. USSR took germany down, and invaded berlin. USSR liberated norway, while america never set foot there.
the only reason america invaded in the last minute, was to prevent all of europe to become commie.

"Doesn't or defense of smaller nations that are picked on count for anything?"
name the nations america has defended, and who theyve defended against.
your choise of words "picked on" implies to me, that you are simply assuming that usa must surely have helped many nations. you'd be surprised. the only country i KNOW of that ACTIVELY called for american military intervention, Liberia, went ignored. way to go.
while you make that list, im gonna re-view the death tolls from the american sponsored nicaraguan and chilean military dictatorships.

"How about the Billions of dollars in aid we give to Africa, Mexico, and other third world nations mean anything?"
no. normal countries give MORE money, per capita, and doesnt brag about it.

"How about the trillions of debt we absorbed in stopping the USSR?"
stopping the USSR from what exactly?
russia is the worst piece of crap country on the planet now. was that the noble goal of usa? is that what we're all supposed to be grateful for?

"Why do you hate the USA?"
BECAUSE the usa is the roman empire of today. its decadent and power hungry, and not afraid to blatantly lie, and break international laws, just to gain another penny.

We don't have as much cold, hard, cash as you do, but at least we give what we have.

America is my home. I love my home, I love the United States of America.

I hate the idiots in power, and the reasons for which they get elected.
I hate the fact that most Americans don't even know how a bill becomes a law.
I hate the fact that most Americans don't even know the President has almost no power in government when compared to Congress and the Supreme Court.
I hate the fact that most Americans don't even know the President doesn't get to decide anything really important -- he only enforces the law and commands the military. (excepting Executive Orders, but Federal Law and the Constitution are superior -- strangely, State Law is inferior to Executive Orders)
I hate the fact that most Americans don't even know their congressmen's names, let alone discourse with them.
I hate the fact that most Americans make their decisions about gov't and law for emotional reasons rather than rational ones.
I hate the fact that most Americans don't even know how malleable their gov't is, and how easily it can morph into something diabolical when we don't watch it.
I hate the fact that most Americans don't even know how fragile freedom is, and how badly a representative democracy malfunctions when the people do not keep their representatives in check.
I hate the fact that most Americans get their political information from pundits with an agenda.
I hate the fact that most Americans are so susceptible to propaganda.
I hate the fact that most Americans don't care.

I hate my society,
I hate many things my country does,

Nonetheless, I love my country.

Well put. I think people need to understand the difference between hating the government of a country and hating the country itself.

I'm British and I despise my government, what it's done in the past and what it continuous to do now. But I'm very proud of some of the culture, Byron, Newton, Darwin, Dickens ect Proud of the people that live here and am in love with the island itself. I have very similar feelings about the us, wonderful cultural achievements, many fine people, beautiful countryside, terrible government. Governments tend to be the worst part of any country and what I've said about Britain and America I think holds true for France, Germany, China, Japan and just about any other country in the world you care to name. The only exceptions I can think of are countries where the government is too small and impotent to do any real damage, Iceland comes to mind.

I feel the same way about Sweden. Though I'm not sure I really love my country... I'm more of a cosmopolitan despite some things about Swedish culture being great. I have to ask, why do you love your country despite all of this?

I certain neither nor love a country - It hard enough for me to apply such emotions to a human being, how I could do this with an abstract entity like a country or any other organization?

I don't hate the U.S.A. As major powers go, the U.S.A. has benefited the world on the balance. Some of the things our government does are appalling, now and again, but no government is perfect. As societies go, our people are a decent lot. Our major flaw is that we are fat, dumb and happy.

I wish the U.S. were more like the Roman Republic at its prime. The Romans kicked ass and kept the peace and they did not apologize for it either. If we were like the Romans we could impose a Pax Americana and have a much more peaceful world than we do.

I admire the Romans. They had great water systems and waste disposal systems. They had flush toilets when most of the world was covered with s**t. They had great roads and made the chariots and wagons run on time. My admiration for the Romans brings out my Inner Fascist.

You also know that the Roman Empire eventually fell.

The US government sucks, but it's a nice country. The British government sucks too, and apparently this is a nice country too, but having grown up here, I can't wait to get out and move somewhere that isn't redneck-borderline-fascist (or maybe it's just Yorkshire that's redneck. Though I stand by the fascist part).

Though my plan is to move to Italy, and everyone knows that's kinda fascist and over-bureaucratic, but it's mostly the rednecks I'm trying to escape, LOL.

I don't hate the USA.

I just wish that American tourist could make themselves a little less noticeable here. maybe moving in smaller groups and speaking a few decibels lower would be a good way to go.

but then again, I could say exactly the same thing about the English.
