it’s rumored that we will experience a consiousness shift, I just wonder, do you have to be outside to be affected by the ”rays of light” from the universe?

remember that different places in the world lives in different time zones.

do you have to be outside for 3 hours to feel the difference?

or will the rays go through your rooftop and affect you while you sleep?

please explain.

(ps, those who don’t believe in 2012, please don’t comment on this).

The "rays of light" from the Universe is star-shine and various forms of cosmic rays. They come from all directions in about equal amounts since the cosmos is isotropic (roughly the same in all directions).

do you mean that they will go through walls and roofs, even metal objects?

Sorry, going to anyway.
The universe is made up of hundreds of billions of galaxies each with hundreds of billions of stars. The Earth is less significant than an individual atom in your entire body.
The greater universe dosen't care what arbitrary year we humans say it is.

The neutrino do. And not all material walls or barriers stop low frequency electromagnetic radiation. The walls of you house pass heat when the temperature differential between inside and outside is sufficiently great. Heat is infra red radiation or molecular motion produced by infra-red radiation.

By the way, the Maya dudes had no idea whatsoever about this. Not an inkling.

my house is made of wood.

can it also go through houses made of stone?

is it the neutrine which "does its thing/effect"?

Fortunately, neutrinos do little. They do not interact with other kinds of matter readily.

If neutrinos could transfer energy we would have been cooked. Life could not exist.

Ivegotyou, a neutrino has about an even chance to go through several lightyears' thickness of lead. It took decades for enough of them to interact with cloud chambers on Earth to prove they even existed. They'll pass through you, your house, your friends and family, and your planet without even noticing. Net effect: zero.

Further, the hypothesis this works from is that Earth is somehow supposed to enter some sort of special relationship with the galactic center in 2012. Two points: 1) there is no such relationship, and 2) were there, our solar system's transit around the galaxy isn't that fast - if such a relationship existed, in order for it to "peak" in 2012, we would have had to have entered it sometime during the past five thousand years or so. Remember that it takes almost two hundred million years for us to make one orbit of the galaxy...

In other words, the fact that the Mayan Long Count calendar ends in 2012 signifies precisely one thing - that the Mayans ran out of room on the big stone they were carving this on. Worrying about some sort of "cosmic shift" occurring just because the calendar ends is like worrying that there's going to be some sort of mass wolf extinction on Jan 1 because my 2010 wolf calendar runs out on Dec 31.

ohnoes!! !! what will we do about the wolves!! !

through my internet connection, it has been revealed to me that DeaconBlues' wolf calendar runs out dec31 2010!! !! ! something must be done!! !! !

...no really, though. i wonder if we could shut up all the 2012ers by giving them a new calendar as an early new-year's present.
