There is not a lot of things about philosophy here...
Philosophy requires complexity of thinking, intense, introvert, obsession, etc...

In my opinion, philosopher needs independent thinking, passion, and obsession, at least.

Do you think you are a philosopher or have potential?

What do you think about philosophy?

Who is your favourite philosopher?

What books do you like to read?

Is there anything else you want to mention?? Please!! I am so curious!

The main problem with most philosophy is that the conclusions are not empirically testable. Whereas in physical science all hypothesis have to be testable which means they are potentially falsifiable.

Dear ruveyn:

Yes, I agree.

Do you prefer science rather than philosophy?

I am a philosopher. I think philosophy is in real bad shape. My favorite philosopher is George Santayana. I like to read non-fiction books. That's about it.

You make me think about that:

Almost all the questions of most interest to speculative minds are such as science cannot answer

That's why I prefer philosophy.

That proves that the questions are meaningless and nonsensical. Anything that can neither be affirmed or falsified empirically is nonsense on stilts.

I have no use for compassion, pity or kindness. But I put a great deal of stock in Good Manners and Fair Play.

I can say it as well, but it doesn't mean that I feel the same

I have tremendous potential, much of it positive.

I am not now, nor have I ever been, nor am I likely to become, not have I the slightest incentive for being a philosopher.
