Very interesting text. It is written by child-hood friend of Hitler. Preface is written by British historian though.

Do you think Hitler was neurotypical or Aspergian?

I don't think history_of_psychiatry was trolling. He was just posting a view of Hitler. Honestly, if you're singing the praises of a genocidal maniac, do you really expect to get many positive responses?

Professor Michael Fitzgerald has written an article proposing that AH was Aspergian,I am not convinced though.Would tens of millions of NTs worship one of us as a national saviour?

I haven't studied Hitler much, but I find Stalin very interesting. Now there was a genius. An evil bastard, but a genius nonetheless.

Fitzgerald has proposed that pretty much every historical person he could think of was an Aspie.

Hitler strike me as borderline case. Read chapter 7, "Stefanie" and you will see.

I admit that I didn’t read the article he posted, but I have read a bio of Hitler in the past. Based on that, I have my doubts that Hitler was on the spectrum. He was way too charismatic; most of us have enough trouble with simple one on one conversations, much less being able to give charismatic speeches in front of roaring crowds.

However, I think it is highly possible that Heinrich Himmler, chief of the SS, was an aspie. He had bouts of psychosomatic pain, had bizarre mystical beliefs, and even had the stereotypical bouncy aspie walk. I obviously cannot prove it, but if evidence came out showing Himmler was an aspie I would not be surprised.

More to the point why does it matter if AH was on the spectrum. I find this 'so and so was an aspie' conjecture quite baffling.

As to Hitler being a genius I would have called him more a psychotic manipulator

If I am interested in what I am taslking about and am hyper about it with emotion, I can talk extremely well, persuasive quite a bit also. . Have done it in the past a few times....

hitler originally wanted to be an artist / architech...

Hitler was turned down by those who dominated the market in the arts... and who did Hitler see who denied his chance to be an artist? the Jews in Vienna... that and a few other issues that seemd to diminish the national pride of Austria, then Germany because both were mostly german.

With Hitler being obcessed with nationalism, national pride and the advancement of the German -> Celtic/Aryan ethnic/racial peoples... could very well that Hitler was on the Autistic spectrum. He had an IQ of a genius, 144 it was estimated at in one study.... He was also a vegetarian, loved animals and children, designed the autobahn and the wagon for the common people the Volkswagon.... He aided inthe advancement in rocket technology, radar and other things I do not remember at this time....

although he was misguided, he was a genius. There are theories that Adolf Hitler was also 1/4 Jewish ancestry... His maternal grandmother was a servant for a Rochschild banker (Jewish) and became pregnant.

I may be wrong on some points, I am recalling this info from some stuff I read over a decade ago,
