They tried to take part of Turkey, they got killed, same goes for the Kurds.
False. The Kurds did want to take part of Turkey to make their own country. The Armenians did not.
The Young Turks had just overthrown the sultan and were consolidating power. The Young Turks promised the Armenians equality along with the other minorities in the new Turkey. The Russians fought against the Young Turks because the Russians did not want to be part of the new Turkey. The Muslim Young Turks massacred the Armenians because they feared the Armenians would would change their minds, and fight on the side of Russian enemy, because they were both Christian groups. (In other words, this was political genocide fueled by the paranoia of Turkey's new leaders, not religious genocide).

It was part of a British plan to break up the Turkish Empire, which lead to World War One.
False. This was the "Young Turks" consolidating power.

This Red Herring is a completely unrelated statement. This is an attempt to change the subject, or to add confusion to the discussion, because someone does not want discussion of this issue.
