AS and racism
I've been called racist all my life because I always claimed people from southern Europe and the middle east, as well as many africans, had a very distinctive body smell compared to northern and western europeans. I honestly would lie if I said I didn't think so still.
Sometimes when I've been sitting next to someone of southern/middle-eastern origin in an airplane I've almost felt suffocated. As a child I was extremely oversensitive to perfume as well and I still feel slightly sick from smelling certain perfumed soaps.
My AS makes me politically incorrect by nature. If I see something I don't like I say so, and many times this has labeled me as racist or bigot.

What some people deem as racism is truly ridiculous.
Anyway, I've noticed the same thing. I think it's probably down to diet and different races have varying concentrations of apocrine in their bodies.

Oh really? Try being a different colour to most people around you and then say that.
Anyway I don't notice the difference in smell. I get suffocated by smokers though.

I'm an extreme antiracism activist, probably because all of my years of being bullied for having AS make me sympathetic to other people who face discrimination. If I see someone acting racist, even one of my friends, I tend to call them out on it, and make them very uncomfortable, but it needs to be done.

You consider someone noticing differences between groups people to be racist? If there's hateful intent behind it then yes, but noticing variations in different races and ethnicities in itself doesn't constitute racism.

Stereotyping a race of people with no hateful intent can be just as hurtful.
I have no opinion on the difference in smell because it's the first time I heard of it. It just depends on how the OP says people of certain races have their own distinct smell. People often think of smell as something bad. I can see how people think it is racist though - not everyone has sensitivity to smell.

I got bullied by iranians growing up. The kind who need a flashy education just to "show off", who work black/taxfree to get a Mercedes while not even having furniture at home. They feel an obsessive need to adapt to society in order to "prove themselves" and get respected and they don't hesitate to kick downwards.
Iranian kids were treated with lower degrees of xenophobia by swedish kids, such as being labeled "turks" and being the target of cheap jokes, and even though I wasn't completely alienated all the time, there were always trouble around me and social tension between me and others. The iranians started trashtalking me badly when they saw I was a solo guy who didn't belong to any group. They tried to bash at me for being what they viewed as "lower in society" and used me as a way of showing how "integrated" they were.
In Iran, I learned, autistic children are sometimes locked in the basement because a disabled child brings dishonor to the family and for iranians social status and money is more important than life. Everything else is just a shallow masquerade in comparison. Many indians and pakistanis are also like this. In my oppinion they don't even love their children, they just want to achieve their twisted and vulgar idea of "status" and prove to the europeans, the white people, how grand and worthy they are.
My personal oppinion of iranians is that everything Hitler said about jews is true when it comes to iranians. They actually try to defile western society from within by getting high educations and titles but in reality they truly despise people and care only for boosting their already inflated and damaged egos.
My AS allowed me to see this because I became their victim, because of my AS. They used me to make themselves appear as more "civilized" in the eyes of swedes (who they also secretly despised).

I do respect that, particularly if the person belongs to a group that's been persecuted or been exposed to racism themselves. Race is still a touchy subject and I understand that it's something people would like to avoid discussing. For example, I can't say that 'innocent' or lighthearted humor aimed at the Irish (which is seen as totally acceptable) doesn't make me cringe sometimes, even if I can laugh at it myself.

Like starch.
I've noticed. And people of other races do smell differently,
It has a lot to do with diet.
Yeah, I was going to post again saying that . I like curry, and whenever I cook or eat it, it's like I sweat curry. I don't think it's racist to say that people of different races and cultures smell different. I had an Argentinian friend who I couldn't stand the smell of. Kind of ruined our friendship :/. I felt suffocated or like I would gag when I was around him. It was like burnt rice, corn and meat.
Many cultures are less offended by body odor than Westerners are and forgo deodorants and perfumes.
You need to be very careful with what you say when it comes to race. You don't seem to have that ignorance hate that many people I come across have, but still you are generalising a race of people. Not every Iranian has bullied you, just a select group of kids. I was bullied two by white australians, but I don't seem to notice the colour of peoples skin.
I would hate to have a label of racist/bigot, and if I were you I'd learn to keep my opinions to myself. You've got to understand that people don't see things the same way as you.
That 'jew' comment shocked me so I think I'll take some time off from visiting this thread.

People don't actually have strong smells. It's the naturally occuring bacteria in or on your body that smell. Two showers a day and healthy diet will make anyone smell good.
I think psychologists have done experiments where they changed the food coloring of different flavours of ice cream.
A chocolate ice cream that appears pink will "taste" like strawberry.

I'm not talking about something they are born with, but rather cultural tendency. I've met more than enough iranians of several generations to see there's a clear tendency towards national-romanticism, ideas of racial superiority, inferiority complex, greed, materialism etc. If I was an NT, I might have kept my mouth shut about this but since I honestly feel I have gathered enough information through experience, my own and that of others, I just can't deny what I see as fact. There is a cultural tendency towards this kind of behaviour.
Not everyone is exactly like that but there's an overwhelming tendency. Self-hatred, inferiority complex and greed, transformed into narcistic pride, seem to be their driving forces and that's also what makes them kick downwards on AS and autistic people. It elevates them in society, at least mentally they feel higher standing by thrashing the social misfits of the white society.
I was clearly victimized by iranians because of their culture, not because of just a few individuals. I never was treated like that by for example latin americans. I see cultural and social patterns. I understand how they work.
I have met hundreds of iranians and my stereotype mental image of an iranian shaped through these encounters, and facts, and through participating in discussion boards and watching YouTube videos, is the image of "the emperor's new clothes", a naked, hairy man with a hooked nose, riding an invisible horse with his head held high, trotting arrogantly up and down while at the same time admiring himself in a handheld mirror and leaving a trail of filth behind him.
I would actually describe iranian culture as a "dysfunctional culture", or a cultural disorder since the culture itself seems to generate personality disorders on a vast scale.
