Hawaii voted to create an "Islam Day" to celebrate the religion that killed nearly 3,000 people on 9/11.
But what's odd is that the day chosen is September 24th -- close enough to remind Americans of 9/11 when they read or hear "Isalm" and "September" together, as they will whenever they read or hear about this new holiday. So, if everyone's already going to think of 9/11 whenever they read or hear "Islam Day, September 24th", why not just move it to the day everyone's really thinking of?

To the "Religion of Peace!"

Wow, this is incredibly offensive.

I'm no fan of any religion, but to say that Islam killed all those people on 9/11 is incredibly ignorant.

Maybe "Christian Day" could be made the anniversary of the start of the Spanish Inquisition, or the Witch Hunts, or the wars against indigenous people in the Americas, Africa and Australia...

I know we're not supposed to flame and all, and that this post will probably be deleted, and that I might be banned or at least lectured by the mods, but there's just no other response to this thread. You're a f*****g moron.

Remember, the UN recently voted to make denigrating a religion a 'bad thing'. Not sure if it caught or not...;)

Saying all Muslims are responsible for 9/11 is like saying all Christians are responsible for the Crusades...

This is Ragtime so I think he's just kidding around or fooling us into believing he's serious just to shock the crap out of us so we'll click into this thread, read it, and give answeres and statements he's been expecting only to redirect them into a real issue he has in store for us....or at least I hope that's what he's doing...... :hmph:

Conspiracy theory FTW /:

I'm not sure that the things done to Australian Aborigines were done on religious grounds.

I think it was just that they had the best bits of land in an otherwise arid climate. So our ancestors "invaded" and pushed them out into the desert. I'm not suggesting that it wasn't a "naughty" thing to do but wasn't that how all invasions worked in those days? It was sort of considered "legal".'

The taking kids off them business (Stolen Generation) only applied as follows; (I think)...
1. Only if the child was half-caste (ie: from one white and one aboriginal parent).
2. On the grounds that they could be "domesticated" better in white society.

I think that the intentions may have sounded good on paper until you realise that these are people you're dealing with.

Of course, my Australian history isn't brilliant, so I could be totally wrong.

Ragtime's style is more trying to provoke people into saying something offence to him. Then when they do he has some amunition to start arguing with you and then he will start playing victim. But who knows...

It was an operation carried out by Wahabis in conformity to Wahabi principles. I seriously doubt whether Sufis would have done such an operation.

You know, about a week ago I actually caught a couple minutes of Fox News, which came on after the weather. I've never really watched Fox News on TV before, and I must say, it was pretty f*****g hilarious. For a moment, I wasn't sure if they were even serious- I thought, this is so blatantly biased, the news report reads like an extremely partisan op-ed, this is so overblown that it's got to be a parody. But no, it actually was the news. And they call themselves "fair and balanced"

*THAT* gives me chills.

I'd much rather see any religion, my own as much as anyone else's, open to bottles and cans from people who believe differently or even who just want to be beligerent than see religious Orwellianism prevailing.

LOL...Fair and Balanced.

When I use to watch FOX, I'd watch it for entertainment purposes like Bill O'Reilly getting all huffy and puffy with everyone because they were spinning his "facts" around and lying.

He seems like a cool guy if could just get some control over his temper and stop having meltdowns while the camera's still rolling..../:
