Poor kid. That's really quite a cruel thing to do to a small child.

Sounds like something my art teacher would do. That's probably her sibling.

Punishment like that is ridiculous on it's own, but for simply not meeting standards? Blah

They should force the teacher to wear paint on her face for a whole year while at school and sack her if she refuse.

Jessus. :? I love it when "grown ups" brush off their own cruel and inapproprite behaviors as "a joke." Her apology obviously isn't sincere if she can't accept her own accountablity for doing something that hurt the child emotionally.

What's worse is she gets to punish the kid twice - first by doing it to him, and then implying the kid's overreacting. I know how much I always LOVED that ugly, confused feeling I would get when adults told me I was overreacting to something that really hurt when I was that age.
