Warning: There is a big picture, but all you can see is shoes and pants.

Quote:
As it happens, the caller's friend is an urban explorer who gets thrills rummaging through and photographing the ruins of Detroit. It turns out that this explorer last week was playing hockey with a group of other explorers on the frozen waters that had collected in the basement of the building. None of the men called the police, the explorer said. They, in fact, continued their hockey game.

That's sick.

That's just bizarre. I'd heard Detroit was a tough town but...wow. And that photo is creepy.

What I find really bizarre and disturbing is the apathy and lack of response from authorities. 8O

It makes you wonder if someone did call it in before and nothing was done.

Yeah, I've seen that guy's website. There's a whole network of urban spelunkers in Detroit who go around taking pictures and exploring old buildings. They see some pretty strange stuff.

The main page is a forum; click "Tour Detroit" for the pics. Avoiding the cops is part of the thrill, not that the cops frequently patrol the ruined areas.

Just wow. I can't even imagine doing something like that.

Playing hockey around a dead body, that is.

Exactly. How could those guys continue playing hockey knowing there's a dead body there? Ugh.

I don't think the dead person cares...

as long as they call the authorities, I don't see what difference it makes what they do while they wait... as long as they don't contaminate the crime scene.

It isn't like they propped up the dead guy's leg to use as a goal post.
