all i can say is that the extemists are cowards who are most probably brainwashed or jealous.

You have no idea do you?

Did you know the techniques used by al Qaeda, the Taliban, and other Islamisist groups such as various modern suicide bombing techniques, road side bombs, etc were developed by the Tamil Tigers (LITE)? I bet you didn’t realise that, look it up.

There are Buddhist extremists in Sri Lanka and elsewhere. There is also Sikh ones.

I think the situation you're refering to is a good deal more complicated than that. There are a lot of indigenous hill tribes in the East and the far North East of the country that are isolated from the general culture of the country and still worship their own Gods. Hindu and Christian groups have been trying to convert these people and the competition has turned violent in recent years.
