what i'd like to know is if the cell development process of transdifferentiation can cross species, or if it's 'ethical' to try experiments that could extend humans lives or at least those that are suffering terminal illnesses.

That article doesn't really explain a lot, does it. In order to actually reverse the aging process, it would have to keep its DNA from shrinking, not just change its shape.

That article doesn't mention telomerase, as far as I've read, only cancer cells are truly immortal
