In Atlanta already?! I guess this snow thing is serious. I hope I get some in Charlotte or home, because I don't wanna go to morning class.

But it's not cold enough for the snow to stick to the ground. It's snowing very lightly in Stone Mountain. Let's hope all of this rain/snow helped the drought situation.

Awwwww. I'm down in south GA, and it just looks dreary out. Cold, though. It hasn't snowed here since 1989. 8O

I lived in the Atlanta area for a few years. Snow is not a rarity in the Atlanta area. You typically get about 2 inches or so each winter.

Its been a rarity in the past ten years or so - with the drought. I moved here in 98 and have only had the chance to play in the snow twice. (Not counting today.)

It's pretty surreal and surreally pretty..

I'm in Rome, which is about an hour and a half NORTH of Atlanta, and we got NO SNOW!! !! !! ! Thirty miles south of us, they got 4 inches. DAGGUMMIT!! !! !! !! !! !! !

And no, Atlanta doesn't normally get about two inches a year, our normal winter weather is rain, and maybe a little sleet, a few flurries, but usually our winter storms are ICE STORMS... no snow!

Enjoy Atlanta!! (grrr.....)

Damn weather topic

In the Maritimes in Canada, they are suffering from the 10th snow storm of the season. Nine feet of snow over this winter, and has been snowing since before Hallowe'en.

I live in Barrie, Ontario, and it it -28F (that is MINUS 28 Fahrenheit) to you Americans).

We should send you the snow and the cold next year. :P

Georgia on my mind.

It hasn't snowed in SoCal's lowlands since 1968. I wouldn't mind a foot of snow - might just solve our drought problem.

Obviously, this is all due to global warming.
