For 300 years Britain has outsourced mayhem. Finally it's coming home. Opium, famine and banks all played their part in this country's plundering of the globe. Now it's over, we find it hard to accept

"Why now? It's not as if this is the first time Britain's representatives have been caught out. The history of governments in all countries is the history of scandal, as those who rise to the top are generally the most ambitious, ruthless and unscrupulous people politics can produce. Pushing their own interests to the limit, they teeter perennially on the brink of disgrace, except when they fly clean over the edge. So why does the current ballyhoo threaten to destroy not only the government but also our antediluvian political system?"

Some Queenophile, they are power mad, and sign their work.

I claim these isles in the name of the Lenni Lanape, the first people the British used Bio warfare on, giving out blankets with Smallpox at a peace treaty.

Well, there's the development of China and India, who are quickly becoming more and more powerful, and considering their sizes...There's just not as much that Britain has over other countries anymore, like back when they conquered India. What is there to hold them up? The technological advantage is long gone.

Wait, antediluvian political system? There are empires that have coem and gone that lasted much longer than Britain, my friend. The place was ruled by the Romans for centuries who brought the iron age there from mainland Europe. It was only in the Renaissance when they recovered civilisation from the time of the Romans that England became an independant prosperous country like 500 years ago. It was much later when they expanded their Empire to Scotland, Ireland, Wales and beyond and became a global power. I'm just saying, if you look at the last few thousand years, Britain isn't very "antediluvian".
