I had a "Michael Jackson death watch" conversation with someone Sunday last, said that I did not expect this "comeback" to work, that he might die on stage like Tiny Tim... that he was in no state to do this. Elvis and his immediate pre-death performances were mentioned. I also openly wondered yesterday about how it had been so long since a major pop star died prematurely, recalled when Cobain died someone told me that this was the most important such death since Lennon... then moments later I found out about this event.

M.J. was a very screwed up person, who is no longer suffering from how much he was screwed up. He is dead (and presumably at peace) and the rest of us can now forget him.

But I am sad he had to live such a messed up life.

That is such a beautiful thing to say.

I live in the states and they had reports around yesterday afternoon saying he was in the hospital. Then a half hour later they said he was dead. They are playing all of his songs on every radio station in my area. they are also playing all of his videos and tributes to him on MTV all day. Me and my sister thought that he would melt into a big puddle, not an actual heart attack. They are actually going to announce his autopsy report sometime today. I am not a big fan of him either. i was more into Madonna, and a lot of the Alternative and new wave bands.

Hmm. It saddens me that people are still making fun of the man even though he has died (not that it wasn't bad before). He was a very ill man. He was not a paedophile, he was a man who suffered abuse at the hands of his father and as a result never grew up properly. Sleeping in a bed with young boys meant nothing to him sexualy because he wasn't mentally 'old' enough to think things like that. The boys were just his frineds. Besides I don't know if anyone actually bothered reading the facts, that being that the child who made the allegations turned out to just be after money. Whatever...

Rest in peace Michael. May your demons haunt you no more.

God is a male since he is referred to as the father in the Lord's Prayer.

I wrote this on another site I post on and posted a version of it as a youtube comment:

Even though i'm a mostly a fan of indie rock and jazz music, I appreciate songs that are completely perfect in every way, regardless of what genre they are in. IMO there are at least 10-15 absolutely perfect and flawless songs in MJ's catalog alone, with "Billie Jean" his crowning achievement. His eccentricities (to put it nicely) in the last two decades of his life will not take away from the greatness of the timeless classics he gave the world. He will be sorely missed.

As for the child molestation trial, I believe he is not guilty. I have trouble believing the claims of the accusers, because you never know if they're telling the truth, or if it's some sort of scheme to extort money.

That's what happened to Ted Kennedy's nephew when a woman accused him of rape--she later admitted to making it up for money and publicity.

Here comes the Wacko Jacko rumours...

Michael Jackons's body to be preserved in plastic?

The death of Michael Jackson has raised new speculation about his reported desire to be preserved in plastic, by German doctor Gunther Von Hagens, creator of the popular "Body Worlds" exhibits.

The London Daily Mail quotes Von Hagens as saying an agreement was reached months ago with representatives of the Jackson family to plastinate Jackson's body.

It would reportedly be placed next to his pet chimpanzee, "Bubbles," who is on display at a Body Worlds exhibit in London.

The exhibition is at the O2 Center, the same venue where Jackson was due to perform starting next month. Von Hagens told the newspaper that one of Michael's final requests was to be reunited with Bubbles.

-----

Quickly, someone should buy the bones of the Elephant Man to complete the display.

Wait will someone deny that he is dead ?

About a year after Freedy Mercury died I was served by a barman who looked very much like Mr Mercury, and I am sure you have all heard the tales about Elvis working in the cash and carry.
