Actually, Reinhard Heidrich, the number 2 man in the SS, who was perhaps being groomed to be Hitler's successor, had Jewish ancestry. Not only was he apparently aware of it, but he also did a degree of creative writing with his genealogy in order to cover it up.

Oh, no, he was a Nazi's Nazi. In fact, Heidrich was the guy who dreamed up using gas chambers to murder concentration camp inmates, as well as sending special action squads behind Wehrmacht lines to murder Jews and communists. In fact, he was so hated and feared by even Nazi party members in Germany, that people were genuinely happy when he was assassinated by Czech freedom fighters, and not just because it was an open secret that he was a Jew.

And his brother Heinz was a hard core Nazi as well initially but after he discovered everything that Reinhard did after he was assassinated, he was beyond disturbed and did what he could to save Jews!! He committed suicide in 1944 because he feared if the Gestapo discovered what he did by helping Jews, his family would have been in jeopardy. So sad! So in the end the brothers were total opposites, just like Hermann Goering and Albert Goering were, who was anti-Nazi to begin with.

Jews are thought of ,by both Jews and Gentiles, as both a religion and an ethnic group.

And geneticallly it has been shown that jews are distinct from Europeans according the recent DNA research, and that they are infact gentically Mideastern and very close to Arabs.

Some antisemitism is only about religion, but with Nazi's its about blood as well.

So its not like you're an Islamaphobe who learned that your grandad was muslim.
Its more akin to Ku Klux Klaner finding out that he has a Black ancestor.

Just recently, I discovered that my maternal Prussian grandmother's maiden name was - - Abramovske. I think it likely the name had once been spelled Abramovski, or Abromovsky. The more Semitic ski or sky at the end sometime ago was possibly changed to a more Christian Germanic ske.

once i saw a documentary about the aryan brotherhood and one of the founder is actually half jewish and knows about it! He's even got a tattoo of a star of David. So apperently you can be both a nazi and jewish?! 80
