Quote:
A man accidentally brought his loaded .40 caliber gun onto an airplane. He didn't know he had it. Neither did the TSA, who completely missed it during its scan and allowed that plane to fly. Apparently, this happens a lot.

Farid Seif, a Houston businessman, usually carries the weapon around for protection. He didn't realize he had kept the glock in his carry-on computer bag until he was mid-flight. Once he landed, he immediately reported the incident (and was stunned he was able to get it on board without hassle). That something like this happened should be scary in itself, but authorities tell ABC News says that that sort of incident isn't exactly uncommon:

Experts say every year since the September 11 attacks, federal agencies have conducted random, covert tests of airport security.

A person briefed on the latest tests tells ABC News the failure rate approaches 70 percent at some major airports. Two weeks ago, TSA's new director said every test gun, bomb part or knife got past screeners at some airports.

We put up with the TSA and their foolish methods in the name of security but if they're not keeping us secure, well s**t, why do we put up with it?

I could very well see that happening to me. I think I would have just kept it to myself, though, since i don't know what kind of knee jerk reaction TSA might have when I got off the aircraft and showed them what they missed.

This whole post 9/11 airport security thing is a reaction to what has already happened. About all it did was create another government monster to feed and appease at the cost of our privacy with comparatively little of value in return.
Now that the TSA is dug in it's going to be, for all practical purposes, impossible to get rid of.

Things are clearly starting escilate in this country...but for what purpose, I am not sure. kinda like the boiling frog thing...science has found that if you keep raising the tempature very slowly on a frog, it will not know that it is being cooked and will not jump out of the water even when the water begins to boil. After a new minutes, it dies without a single struggle. If you notice over the last 10 years there has been a slow cooking of freedom and civil liberties in this country, but over the last year or so, the tempature has been raising steadily from crazy food bills which allow monitoring of all food grown in the US, including small farmers, and tailgate farmers...and giving the FDA the right to quartine a whole area where food cannot be produced or brought in, or exported for whatever reason they deem suffient. Then you have the goverment giving google a security clearance (which is access to classified info) and google wanting to decide what will be seen on the US internet and what wont. Once the internet is filtered, a good chance, truth of what is going on in the US will be blocked. Then you have the TSA sexually abusing anyone who flies in the name of shoddy security.
You also have the ongoing group stalking of anyone who speaks out against coruption in government or big coorperations, an epidemic that is funded by the government through fusion centers which is part of homeland security.

like boiling a frog...we wont know what hit us until one day we wake up and the constitution is just a relic our history.

I am trying to get this word out cuz I have seen what happens when freedoms are taken away...I have experienced this firsthand. Most people are sleepwalking through all of this, totally unaware of where we are going...until we wake up to something like the soviet union and it is too late...freedoms are gone.

If I was born paranoid...I would not be in the mess I am in now.
