TechCrunch reports

Quote:
"Om Malik posted a rumor today regarding a new BitTorent financing and possible ouster of CEO Bram Cohen. We did some independent digging and have come up with what I believe is accurate based on multiple sources and a leaked document: BitTorent has raised a $25 million Series B round of financing from Accel Partners and previous investor Doll Capital Management, bringing the total capital raised to just under $34 million.

And CEO Bram Cohen, who created the BitTorrent protocol, is definitely on his way out. The company has retained the well known headhunting firm Heidrick & Struggles to find a replacement as soon as possible. No word on what, if any, role Cohen will have going forward."

I wonder, do you think he was ousted because of his Asperger's Syndrome?

I do not know if he was ousted because he has AS or not but if he was the creator of the method for BitTorrent, then let this be a lesson learned on why you should keep control of you innovations.

I don't know why and I don't understand why we should start claiming it's because of AS if we don't know.
It's not like it's written in your forehead.
I really dislike it when people are trying to play the "being oppressed for being a minority" card all the time, so I see no reason to lower myself to their level.
However, if it is as I have heard, that he is against net neutrality then having him removed would only be a Good Thing.
I like bittorrent, and for the creator to not support net neutrality sounds really weird to me, but if that's so then kthxbye.
